Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Mod Review – Beyond Perfection

The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 came very close to being the perfect knife. Only two flaws: the stock scales are uncomfortable because of sharp edges, and the pocket clip isn’t low-carry, making it overly visible when EDC’ing it at the office or formal events. So I decided to fix it.

And there we have it, the perfect Paramilitary 2. Grip is much improved thanks to the great profiling by Aramis, and the black titanium low-carry clip makes EDC’ing the knife a breeze. With black pants, people can’t even tell I have this giant knife clipped to my pocket. The knife is so beautiful I have a tear in my eye. It’s so comfortable, it feels like a completely new model. Don’t forget to add thread lock! Highly recommended.

Sal, if you read this… why not get inspired for the Paramilitary… 4?

Where to get the components

Here are direct links to each required component. Some links lead to a listing, so you can pick whichever seller is closer to you. Certain parts can only be ordered direct from the maker, and I don’t recommend you go through anybody else, unless you want to risk getting a sub-par imitation. One more thing, Aramis also carries carbon fiber pocket clips. They look awesome, but silly me didn’t notice they were available at the time of this review. I haven’t tested them, so I can’t vouch for their reliability. But they sure look good!

If you have a different Spyderco or Benchmade, fear not! Aramis makes custom scales and clips for other models! Check his store HERE.
